ISPWP Fall 2017 Contest Result

2017 is a busy but fruitful year for me shooting many awesome couples and traveling to many beautiful countries to create images. One part I definitely neglected this year is participating in a photography contest. This ISPWP Fall contest is probably the last one of the year that I remember the submission date and made the submission on time. The result of the contest was announced a couple of days ago and I am glad that I won 2 awards in 2 different categories; early Christmas gifts to me indeed.

Thank you to all of you who have always shown supports and faith in my style of photography.

Wedding Portrait / In the classic mood

As a photographer, when it’s my turn to get into wedding planning, I suddenly understand what my client went through, the kind of excitement, planning and even though we wanted to keep things as simple as possible, certain things do need time to make it happen. One part of it is pre-wedding photos, Jaymie and I did talk about this in the very beginning of the wedding planning that we wanted to shoot at a oversea location but due to time management; I have more oversea assignments and she have very tight flying roster, we didn’t manage to make it happen for a oversea shoot. So I  decided to do something very different which is a studio portrait session and the concept is totally in classic black and white.

This is a partial self shoot and I am very blessed that my good buddy Michael Chan helped me in materialising my idea and helped me in capturing the look that me and Jaymie wanted. So here is the full black and white album layout that I have done for my own wedding. Special thanks goes out to Yukiko Lim for the awesome make up on Jaymie.

Enjoy.

In the Romance of France

” Paris is always a good idea” – Audrey Hepburn

Paris is one of the very popular pre-wedding destination and I am blessed to have shoot there at least once every year for the past 6 years. Everytime I when I am there, I will imaging my favorite street master photographer Henri Cartier Bresson and Elliot Erwitt walking through the charming Parisan streets or walking along the Seine river creating their black and white master pieces.

This pre-wedding photography shoot for Guan Hong and Wei Teng brought me back to the romantic French capitol and we had a nice photo session travelling towards east of France in Saint Michel. Enjoy the photos. : )
