Winter Hokkaido Wedding – Kameya and Alina

I will start this post with an apology that this is going to be a long post with a lot of photos. At the beginning of this year, I had the privilege to shoot another Japanese wedding in Hokkaido for Kameya san and Alina san. I still remember it’s a cold winter day with a temperature of about -5 degree and was quite snowy. However, the atmosphere at this wedding was a total opposite from the outside, the fun and laughter of all the guests quickly made this wedding celebration filled with warmth and love for the couple.

Thank you Kameya san and Alina san for having me to shoot this wedding. Congratulations once again. I didn’t have the chance to take a wefie with you guys but I added a pic at work photo in this collection. : )

Sendai Wedding Party

This is part 2 of the Sendai wedding celebration of Hiroto san and Ikumi san.  Japanese wedding tradition usually will have another party session which the program is more relax and chill and the guests attending are the couple’s friends and colleague. The whole evening is simple but nothing short of fun, lots of drinks and laughter. Enjoy the photos and try to spot me in one of the photos. hahaha

ISPWP Spring 2019 Contest Result

Amidst this busy season, good news came in today, the latest ISPWP Spring 2019 contest result is announced today and I am happy for this 2 awards.  Both photos are taken in Japan, one taken during a Japanese Shinto wedding for Hiroto san and Ikumi san in Sendai and another from a pre-wedding shoot at the famous Shibuya scramble crossing last year for Jason and Chloe. Thank you everyone, who has always shown support to my work.

Coincidentally, both photos are taken with the Fujifilm X-H1 which was also the first camera I work with Fujifilm for the launch last year as their X-photographer (Ambassador). A big shoutout to Fujifilm Singapore for continuous support and always there when I needed help. Truly Appreciated. : )

Japanese Shinto Wedding in Sendai – Nakata and Ikumi

It’s been a while I did a blog update and this is going to be a very long post.

I have shot some amazing Japanese wedding in Japan before but this is the first time I shoot a traditional Shinto Wedding. This wedding also brought me to Sendai in Miyagi Prefecture which was also a first for me visiting this city. The wedding took place at a very charming location Sendai Shozankan and I totally immerse myself in the peacefulness and tranquillity of this wedding venue. I met the groom Nakata san from Fujifilm and it’s an honor to shoot this wedding for him and his wife Ikumi san. Congratulations to both of them and thank you for having me at your wedding.  Enjoy the photos. : )

Kay and William – Love from Hong Kong

I was introduced to Hong Kong couple Kay and William by not one, but two ex-clients-turned-friends, who all happen to be architects! I am thankful for all these referrals within the Hong Kong architect community and am happy that my style of work which showcases lighting, contrast, and unique composition is well received. I love to create images and tell stories of the couple using my perspective. Kay and William’s wedding is happening today in Hong Kong and I wish them a blissful marriage and a life packed with happiness. Congratulations!

ISPWP Winter 2019 contest Result

Sharing a quick post on a piece of good news that came in today on the ISPWP Winter contest. This photo was taken in one of the iconic Hong Kong estates for William and Kay who happens to be having their wedding this coming weekend in Hong Kong. Thank you for trusting my vision and liking my style of photography as there are many good photographers in Hong Kong but you have chosen me, an honor indeed. Congratulations for a blissful marriage.

Jason and Chloe in Tokyo

Tokyo’s Shibuya is famous for its scramble crossing – where you can see thousands on the roads at the same time. It took just two tries for Jason and Chloe to get this photo at the intersection – and I’m glad it turned out well. Shoots are more interesting, fun and creative when they are not overly posed. Sharing a selection of mine and the couple’s favourite images – made possible also by awesome weather and lighting during the shoot. Congrats to the newlyweds who tied the knot over the weekend, and wishing them a blissful marriage.
