Kazu and Kelly – Pre-Wedding Singapore

Every time I shoot for a new couple whom I probably have met only once or twice prior to the shoot, a lot of questions ran through my mind. How long have they dated and how do they meet each other. Likewise when Kazu san hires me to shoot for him. I am thankful for the locations they have picked for the photo-session are how I like it to be – telling their love story.

He is from Japan and she is from Singapore, the two first set eyes on each other at a cafe called the Flying Squirrel and cupid did a great job that day. During dating, they enjoy chilling out drinking beers at a bar called the Pump Station 1965 located at Punggol. Last but not least, they are nice homely people that’s why a home setting that they usually spend a lot of quality time together is one of the location choices.

Winter Hokkaido Wedding – Kameya and Alina

I will start this post with an apology that this is going to be a long post with a lot of photos. At the beginning of this year, I had the privilege to shoot another Japanese wedding in Hokkaido for Kameya san and Alina san. I still remember it’s a cold winter day with a temperature of about -5 degree and was quite snowy. However, the atmosphere at this wedding was a total opposite from the outside, the fun and laughter of all the guests quickly made this wedding celebration filled with warmth and love for the couple.

Thank you Kameya san and Alina san for having me to shoot this wedding. Congratulations once again. I didn’t have the chance to take a wefie with you guys but I added a pic at work photo in this collection. : )

ISPWP Spring 2019 Contest Result

Amidst this busy season, good news came in today, the latest ISPWP Spring 2019 contest result is announced today and I am happy for this 2 awards.  Both photos are taken in Japan, one taken during a Japanese Shinto wedding for Hiroto san and Ikumi san in Sendai and another from a pre-wedding shoot at the famous Shibuya scramble crossing last year for Jason and Chloe. Thank you everyone, who has always shown support to my work.

Coincidentally, both photos are taken with the Fujifilm X-H1 which was also the first camera I work with Fujifilm for the launch last year as their X-photographer (Ambassador). A big shoutout to Fujifilm Singapore for continuous support and always there when I needed help. Truly Appreciated. : )

Sharing a quick post on a piece of good news that came in today on the ISPWP Winter contest. This photo was taken in one of the iconic Hong Kong estates for William and Kay who happens to be having their wedding this coming weekend in Hong Kong. Thank you for trusting my vision and liking my style of photography as there are many good photographers in Hong Kong but you have chosen me, an honor indeed. Congratulations for a blissful marriage.

ISPWP Fall 2018 Contest Result

Happy news came thru the email this Monday morning that I have won 2 awards from the latest ISPWP contest. This is definitely an injection of positive energy for me to keep working on my photography craft in this December busy month. A Big Thank You goes to the 2 couples in this 2 images, Cher and Tyler on the First Dance photo and Reyna and Alvin for the pre-wedding photo shot at the Sentosa SEA Aquarium. I am truly blessed to meet couples who trusted my vision and allowing me to work on my creativity on their images both in wedding day and pre-wedding.

When Time Stood Still in Sydney

When Gabriel and Sharmaine booked me for a pre-wedding photo shoot, they are very sure to do the photo shoot overseas but just can’t put a confirmation to the location. After over 6 months of discussion, Sydney was the choice. I enjoyed shooting in Australia for its beautiful weather and charming lighting and I am excited to challenge myself to see how else can I shoot the Opera House from a different perspective. I truly appreciate the couple for liking my style of work and trusted me to shoot the way I wanted to tell their story in a Timeless and Classy interpretation. Thank you for having me as your photographer.

Love Makes A Family – The Family

I enjoy shooting family portraits and always preferred a more candid approach in documenting their day-to-day life. I have known the family for a long time as the mummy is a good friend of mine from secondary school, and I shot her wedding in Spain and pre-wedding in Amsterdam and Singapore. Time flies and this is the second time I am doing a family photo session with them. It’s such a blessing to watch the beautiful family grow from behind my lenses. Enjoy the photos. : )
